Marius Racine Robinson Papers 1830-1897

Marius Racine Robinson (1806-1878) was a Presbyterian clergyman and editor of the Anti-Slavery Bugle (Salem, Ohio). The collection consists of correspondence (1836-1839) of Robinson with his wife, Emily; lectures and speeches (1830-1865), notes, journal, newspaper clippings, and biographical material on Robinson. Relates to the American Anti-Slavery Society in Ohio for which Robinson was lecturer, the American Colonization Society, the Anti-Slavery Society of Lane Seminary, Cincinnati, Ohio, abolitionism, emancipation, slavery, and theological subjects.
